Judicial Research Counsel recently participated in a week-long workshop as part of their orientation focusing on their role and functions within the court system. A delegation from Trinidad & Tobago conducted these sessions. Judicial Officers also participated in some of the sessions during the five day workshop.
Chief Justice Brian M. Moree interviewed The Hon. Mr. Justice Peter Jamadar, a member of The Caribbean Court of Justice, who led the delegation from Trinidad & Tobago. Mr. Justice Jamadar is an accomplished judicial educator and is currently the Chairman of the Caribbean Association of Judicial Officers.

Mr. Justice Smith was one of the presenters and focused on judgment writing and research tools. Mr. Justice Smith is a notable speaker on judicial issues throughout the region.

Mr. Justice Winder is the Chairman of the newly formed Bahamas Judicial Education Institute and discussed it’s terms of reference and objectives in the Judiciary.
